The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Engineer to join the growing Southby Productions team on a permanent basis. Your main role will be to support the running of the Southby Productions Warehouse. This will predominantly involve assisting the Southby Productions warehouse team wherever possible. You will work 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday, however, there will occasionally be the need to start earlier or finish later to accommodate our client’s needs. In exceptional circumstances this may include weekend work, for which overtime or time in lieu will be offered.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with the smooth running of the Southby Productions warehouse.
- Prep, de-prep and maintain equipment maintaining accurate levels of stock in Hire Track.
- Reporting of faulty or damaged equipment.
- Assist with maintenance tasks within the Southby Productions warehouse.
- Loading and unloading of equipment from trucks/vans.
- Undertake appropriate compliance testing of Southby Productions equipment such as, but not exclusively, Electrical Equipment Safety
- Testing (EEST), LOLER & PUWER.
- Provide a full range of IT, logistical and warehouse support.
- Update HireTrack with the latest accurate information and follow up on outstanding tasks.
- Monitoring your Southby Productions email and calendar and ensure a prompt response is provided.
- Liaise with other employees and completing bespoke tasks.
- Other duties as and when required – including communicating appropriately with internal and external contacts.
Person Specification:
- Warehouse / Audio Engineering experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Honest and accountable.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Hardworking and enthusiastic.
- A personality that thrives in time dependant and high-pressure environment.
- An ability to work with large numbers of people consisting of differing qualities and temperaments.
- An ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills.
- Able to follow instruction, seeing tasks through from start to finish.
- Able to perform manual handling.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
