THE ROLE

What will you be doing?

Work as part of a BBC production management team, who take creative ideas and logistically make them happen. You might find yourself working on all the sporting fixtures of the year, making sure everyone has everything they need to film the events – or checking rules and regulations so that film crews can work safely abroad while making the latest nature documentary.
Develop hands-on experience of how production works in either TV or Radio. You may be preparing for shoots, coordinating transport, booking kit and crews, issuing call sheets, managing budgets, and helping in the studio or gallery. Or you may be working as part of the production management teams who crew up the BBCs flagship radio stations and ensure that everyone gets paid.
Learn best practices from expert BBC production management teams. Ensuring everything is documented, filed and in line with privacy and licensing policies. You will support all crew members, talent and contributors, making sure deadlines and budgets are met.
And you’ll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job.
Where does the role lead to?

After the scheme this will typically lead to a role as a Production Management Assistant or Production Coordinator
