About the Candidate
I am a hardworking, conscientious and mature person who is confident in my abilities. I am a team player who enjoys working with a variety of people and listening to others’ opinions as well as forming my own. I am passionate about the creative industry and keen to pursue a career within it. I have a Bachelor of Arts with Second Class Honours Upper Division after studying Film Production at Arts University Bournemouth specialising in Cinematography, I took part in numerous productions including two graduation films. Overall my time working with high-end production equipment and professionals has given me valuable technical skills as well as key problem-solving abilities. I am also highly interested in the audio-visual industry particularly for live events and music as I am highly passionate about music and how the atmosphere at events is curated through lighting and visual design. I am looking into taking part in a short course for training in GrandMa. I also gained experience driving a van whilst at AUB. Earlier experiences during my working life included two different work placements during the summer of 2017 at an engineering company and an events organisation. I was lucky enough to work at the Bournemouth Airshow for a company called Fonix (now known as LEDhouse) where my duties included being a production runner, catering to the support of a camera crew. I have also completed a first aid course, have a CSCS card and have a full clean driving licence. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, film photography and socialising on weekends, I also have a passion for electronic music and spend a lot of my free time mixing on decks and have even taken part in local events. I pride myself on being a strong and healthy individual and wish to maintain this throughout my working life. I have worked at a car wash, learning skills such as outdoor maintenance and using specialised equipment. For the past six years, I have been working in customer service at a busy fish and chip shop in Mudeford called Alexander’s Fish and Chips, where I now have the role of Assistant Manager. During my time at this job, I have learnt the importance of clear communication as well as how to work under high amounts of pressure. In addition, I have helped train newer members of staff, which boosted my confidence and gave me new leadership skills. I am also currently working as a labourer for shopfitting and have learned skills in using power tools and working within a construction environment. I am looking for work that fits my interests and skillsets and am excited to join the creative industry.
