About the Candidate

My experience in the event industry spans over 32 years. Over this time, I have gained vast operational skills and personal qualities essential to an event professional.

A large period of this was spent with one major event security company and primarily focused on the live events sector. I have also worked for several other leading security contractors up to junior management level.

Throughout my career I progressed from a Safety Steward up to Manager and last year completed my first task out in the Middle East as a Security Manager for a huge music festival in Riyadh.

Over recent years I have expanded into other event management roles such as Campsite Manager, Gate Manager, Accreditation Manager, Access Control/Scanning  Management and am keen to progress my knowledge and skills in these and other roles within the live event sector.

I believe in fostering an open and honest culture, working together with other contractors as a team, and ensuring repeat business is built on the success of all our hard work.

I consider myself experienced enough to take on many new challenges and continued support from management teams ensure I am constantly aware of my development and potential career prospects.
In short, I have an enthusiasm to learn and a genuine interest in the event industry.

I obtained my Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors course and have held my SIA Door Supervisor licence since 2010 including all relevant Top-Up training including First Aid.

I have also recently obtained my IOSH Managing Safely and Level 3 – Fundamentals of Crowd Safety and Level 5 – Award in Crowd Safety Management and will continue to focus on my own CPD to improve.
