About the Candidate
To give a little bit about me, I have a HND in TV, Media, and Film Production, and a First-class degree in media communications. I have been editing since I could walk, creating YouTube videos of gaming and small skits with friends. Starting in humble beginnings with Sony Vegas, putting together clips on a very clunky timeline, eventually transitioning to more efficient Premier Pro. I am proficient in colour grading, both for video and picture, and I specialise in sound production. Specifically, Fruit Loops and Ableton. I am capable of using all Adobe products, and have a portfolio of both post-production work, directing shoots, and music production. I have also written scripts for the BBC, in particular mockumentary episodes running for 30 minutes. Creating documentary-based material is my dream, and a passion I have had since I could create my first MP4 file. Furthermore, I am well-versed in the complexities of file formats such as MP4, MOV, and AVI, as well as codecs like H.264, HEVC, and ProRes.
The reason why I think I should be chosen for the internship role, is because of my history in project management, being capable of running shoots. Having directed multiple fashion brands on set. I have years of experience in these environments on shoot, both here and in Milan, so I am fully aware of the stress that comes with dealing with stylists. Having worked 6 years in fashion as a model, model booker and a production runner for brands such as Marni and Dr Marten, has led me to have a great understanding behind the means of content production. In this time, having to use SLR camera’s and other relevant equipment to personally curate a definitive final product. It is key to have organisation skills, as getting everyone together is a difficult responsibility. I have been present on both sides of the coin, and instrumental in getting tasks completed. This has also taught me how to be a team player.
