Event Concept has an opportunity for a skilled and competent Scenic Technical Designer/Drafts Person who has a passion for creating beautiful work and technically resolving designs. In this role, you’ll be designing and seeing projects fabricated in our workshop daily. The work is varied with a huge range of materials and ﬁnishes to be explored.
Event Concept is a leading creative production agency specialising in live, hybrid, and virtual event production. Our team comprises industry-leading specialists across design, scenic construction, technical production, and live show management.

We are looking for a Scenic Technical Designer who shares our love for delivering exceptional experiences.
Who are you?
First and foremost, you’re a team player. You’re willing to roll your sleeves up and help your team. We all jump in wherever we are needed at Event Concept.
You have significant experience creating and understanding construction drawings quickly and to a high
You have expert knowledge of CNC processes and how to create cut paths and nesting.
You have an active interest in all areas of design, with experience and knowledge in various design
You have an excellent understanding of fabrication, materials, and assembly
It would also be great if you:
You have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
An expert knowledge of Vectorworks and an ability to use Sketchup (Rhino + SolidWorks optional).
You have experience creating 3D models.
You’re a solutions-focused self-starter with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
You’re open-minded and take a flexible approach.
Advising on projects across the business, giving technical/construction advice and solving problems.
Bridging the gap between creative design and fabrication
Producing technical drawings, and CAD/CAM ﬁles for CAD/CAM
Solving technical problems, specifying material ﬁxings and manufacturing
Helping to deliver technical/construction drawings to both our in-house construction team and outsourced specialist
Working closely with Project/Production Managers on budgets and costs for projects to make sure technical and creative integrity is
Liaising with suppliers and Project Managers to ensure projects are well communicated and on track when
Comfortable presenting technical designs back to the wider
Demonstrating our company values in your day-to-day work.
