EC have an opportunity for a Event Carpenter to join our team. In this role, reporting into our Event Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with our Scenic Project Managers installing our scenic offering onto a variety of events.

Who are you?
- You have previous experience working in a scenic or event carpentry role
- You have strong working knowledge of the construction of scenic elements including, but not limited to, custom stage sets, staging, temporary bars and food stations
- You’re always striving for perfection in your work, this may only be a temporary installation but we will always deliver to the highest quality
- You’re calm under pressure, a lot of our installations have tight deadlines
- You’re willing to work as part of a team delivering the event, whatever the discipline may be
- You are able to read and understand technical construction drawings
- You have a full, clean driving license and are willing to drive light goods vehicles on occasion
Day to day responsibilities:
Onsite Delivery
- Onsite delivery of our scenic offering
- Working with the Scenic Project Managers to ensure the correct items are prepped at the workshop and that the team is fully briefed for the installation
- Leading a scenic crew of both full time and freelance staff
- Ensuring venues are left in an acceptable state once the event has finished
- Onsite duty cover for events with a scenic turnaround
Workshop
- Supporting the workshop team when required to build and prepare scenic items for events.
- Working with the Scenic Operations Manager and Workshop Manager to provide feedback on improvements that could be made to assist on site
Process & Governance
- Following company policies and procedures
- Ensuring that our health and safety policies are followed onsite by both our full time and freelance
- Supporting feedback and non-conformity reporting
- Working with other departments to improve processes
- Hours will be scheduled on an annualised monthly limit. Work above these hours will be available as overtime
