EC have an opportunity for a Content Producer to join our team.  In this role, reporting into our Head of Content, you’ll support the day-to-day running of projects in our content department, with a majority focus on video and moving image.

Who are you?

  • You have 5 years of experience in a role related to producing video content.
  • You have a solid understanding of the postproduction process, from initial briefing and scoping to final delivery and playout.
  • You are skilled and knowledgeable across programs in Adobe Suite -specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects- and are comfortable leading video editors, motion designers, and animators on projects.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced production environment and can juggle multiple tasks and projects whilst remaining calm.
  • You possess a combination of technical and creative knowledge about filmmaking and video post-production.
  • You are comfortable working on projects involving large-scale video for events, like projections and LED walls.
  • You have experience of working with corporations and brands and producing branded content.
  • Ideally you have experience in managing multi-camera shoots, editing, and lighting.
  • You have strong organisational and time management skills.
  • You are a team player, a snappy thinker on your feet, and solutions driven.
  • Excellent communicator – The ability to approach conversations using the right blend of personable and professional to collaborate effectively both internally with departments and externally with freelancers and clients.
  • Flexible – Understanding that in the world of content and events, it is not one-size-fits-all and approaching every request with an open mind and solutions-driven mindset.

Day to day responsibilities:

Management and Delivery

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end production on projects, from initial briefings to final delivery.
  • Work side by side with the Head of Content, and in collaboration with creative and client services to ensure the project needs are met at all times.
  • Create timelines for content productions, respecting all key milestones and deadlines.
  • Strive to find cost efficiencies at every opportunity when owning a budget for a project, whilst respecting company budget policy and margins.
  • Grow critical client and vendor relationships and be confident and comfortable with communicating and presenting to clients.
  • Ideally, you will have an established production network locally within the UK, and the ability to seek out an extended production network outside of the UK when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Studio Manager when managing the recruitment of content-related freelance staff – from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Continually optimise project workflow to find optimum ways of working.
  • Improve content production processes and protocols, and work across the development and implementation of organisational systems and procedures.
  • Keep Event Concept at the forefront of key production trends.
  • Willing to get hands-on with projects while mentoring team members related to in-tools skill sets and upskilling.

New Business and Pre-Production

  • Attend briefing sessions and ensure we have received all necessary information when receiving briefing forms.
  • Actively contribute ideas in brainstorming sessions.
  • When handling a new request, advise and vet resource, reaching out to external freelancers and production partners for responses as needed, and pulling together client quotes alongside the Head of Content.
  • Interpret briefs and create concrete, creative solutions which may occasionally include storyboarding or narrative scriptwriting.
  • Working on identified client content projects and pitches: including generating creative ideas and solutions, planning, attending meetings, overseeing / directing shoots, being across postproduction and delivery of assets.

Production

  • Oversee video edits and ensure a clear brief is given to the Editor.
  • Oversee edit producing, edit sign off, viewings and sign off with the Head of Content.
  • Oversee motion design and ensure Motion Designer has a clear brief and workplan and process for working with the editor.
  • Ensure that brand and legal guidelines are adhered to when producing / directing content.
  • On occasions when we have video production requirements, help lead and direct on assigned shoots.
  • Advise on kit and technical requirements for shoots.
  • Some projects involve creating clever PowerPoint decks that can blur the line of traditional slides and interesting animation and motion – feeling comfortable to brief in PPT Designers is a plus.
