Co-ordinate all presented/visiting production requirements and FI events, public programme and creative engagement activities including scheduling, contractual allowances, technical facilities licensing and ‘contra’ sheets, including draft contras/quotes as required.

The key responsibilities for the Technical Coordinator role include;

• Act as first line point of contact for the Technical Department for both internal & external enquiries and in liaison with the Technical Heads of Departments
• Administratively support in-house productions, touring, events and visiting company work, whilst developing and maintaining good working relationships with external suppliers
• Admin Lead the co-ordination of internal and external hires from the store including the hire deposit and safe return of any items. • This will require attendance to the offsite store(s) to supervise crew
• Assist with the production and interpretation of technical plans and paperwork where needed
• Administratively support the Technical Director, Director of Production & building Operations & Technical Heads of Departments
• Administer and manage the technical department archive including Factory model boxes
• Administratively collate, collect and report on visiting company and supplier feedback on the technical department

The person specification for the Technical Coordinator role are;

ESSENTIAL

• Experience of working in an administrative role or working in a technical department within any arts, theatre or music environment
• Experience liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent administrative, planning and organisational skills
• Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds

DESIRABLE

• Experience of working in technical theatre/music/events/visual arts
• Experience of working as a Production Assistant or Administrator
• Broad knowledge of technical systems and equipment
• Payroll and timesheet administration
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Vectorworks
• Knowledge of producing theatre practice
• A good team player with ability to build positive working relationships with others
• Can work autonomously to agreed deadlines
• Ability to manage workload, multitask and prioritise appropriately
• Commitment to achieving high standards in all areas of work
• Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and support of emerging talent
